...everyone in the Junkyard is what is known as a "reincarnation". They are people who have died in "Nirvana", given life again. Although I am not sure if this has been so from the beginning, or something that only came after the demons.

The demons that reside within us are the result of being infected with the Atma virus. It deliberately alters the host's DNA...just like a virus. It is a very tiny thing...too small to see with your eyes. Most are not sure if it is alive or otherwise. It exists only to replicate itself.

In this case, however, it is a specific electromagnetic wavelength.
