Those words haunted Drake’s dreams for weeks after he and Josh became stepbrothers. They bounced around his skull as he tried to sleep but all he could hear was Josh snoring across the room. He thought of them resentfully when he was trying to get a date with a girl and the other boy would come bumbling down the hall.
He thought it was the end of everything when Josh moved into his life. Years late with Josh’s arms wrapped around him, watching an old horror movie on the couch, he realized it had been the beginning.
