Drabble: Alex vs. Justin

Notes/Warning: I dunno. I’m bored. This was one of the drabbles I wasn’t able to finish the first time around. The library one being another. :/ Any mistakes are because it’s 3:30 in the morning and I’m too lazy to fix any grammatical errors at the moment. ><

Summary: Dean can never decide.
Dean could never decide who he cared about more. Who he wanted more. Alex or Justin.
Alex was cute, and pretty, and funny. She got him. She was on the same level as him when it came to brains. He didn’t have to worry about his lack of intelligence when he was around her. He could say something stupid around her and she would come back and say something just as stupid. If he didn’t get something, then he was almost positive that she wouldn’t get it either.
They were one and the same and Dean could dig that. She was comfortable and familiar and he liked that a lot.
But Justin was also cute and funny, in his own dorky and nerdy way. When Dean said something stupid around him, he would give this look. And it made Dean want to be smarter. It made Dean want to strive a little harder in school. If only to make that look go away. If he didn’t understand something, then Justin would be there to impatiently explain it to him. Like he wasn’t worth the time to explain to. Or maybe Justin didn’t think he wanted to know.
Justin was so much better than him and it scared him a little. He was challenging and different but he liked that a lot, too.
So, Dean could never figure out who was better. Who he could see himself being with longer. Alex or Justin.
But he was pretty satisfied with both for now.
