I'm finally back from Medieval Times down in Jersey. It was a long ride, but mostly because I had very little sleep.
We got the royal package, complete with a DVD of the show, so I'll see just how that is. I had quite a bit of alcohol, but thankfully, I'm not a retarded drunk so I didn't hit on any wenches (although, a few were close to making me act stupid, haha). The food was awesome...of course, and we all cheered our throats sore for our knight, the Black and White Knight.
At first, he didn't start off too good. His initial lancing didn't snag the tiny ring, but neither did his fellow knights, and his javalin throwing was poor at best (he was either the worst or second worst of the 6). Then came the second lance game, which was snagging larger sized rings in a row. He managed to snag the most, tying with 2 other knights. Finally during the combat stage (starting with jousting and ending with combat on foot) he faced off against the odious Green Knight and won! He took the championship. Alas, he was not to be the Champion in the end. The Lord Marshal stabbed him and combatted the Red and Yellow Knight for the dispute over the throne. R&Y beat the Lord Marshal, won the Princess's hand, and was declared the Champion and future heir.
Now I have a theory about Medieval Times. While it's all staged, and impromptu, there's still a few things that never change. One of the knights has the Princess's fancy, he'll be cut down early on and an announcement of combat to the death is issued from a bloodthirsty crowd, but in the end, that knight will fight the bad guy for the throne (and win, although I'd like to see them lose just once, haha). So sure, this was the first time my knight has won the championship, but alas, he did not "win" in the end.
So my final review? "Vagina always gets the win".
(I have proof of that too...look at Athena. Sure Aries is the god of war, but Athena is the goddess of battle and wisdom and she holds victory, Nike, in her hand).
So remember, "Vagina always gets the win"
::Edit::
Now I've got to pack and get some sleep before my 10:30 flight.
