Suzuki continues to improve well. I have written a reply to my father that looks much like the speech required of me for the tournament, which went something more or less like this:
To me, honor is paramount. It is the one thing that must be upheld above all others, in every given situation. And I feel that this tournament committee has been more than honorable in its actions. I have been in other tournaments, some very corrupt... but this is not an instance of corruption. I did what I believed to be honorable by stepping in to save a friend, and I accept the decision that disqualifies me. It was simply the already established rules that I had agreed to upon entering this tournament. It would be far more dishonorable for the committee to make an exception now. I hold no grudges, and I ask that none of you do either. There will always be more tournaments... this is merely a small diversion on my path to fame and glory.
