Yeargh. Didn't have work today, just had to grab the mail and drop it off at the office. So that left me with a whole day to do nothing. I had told my mom the day before that since I had the day off I would just start on the woodpile and make a big pile for her to stack when she got home. Three hours later there is a big stack of cut wood and it still doesn't look like I've done that much work. At least I don't have to split three quards of wood with an axe.
Worked on that for a couple of hours, mom got home, did a little more then went out to feed and water the animals. Watering the animals usually means dumping whatever water they have left over, scrubbing the pool and the barrel so they aren't grimmy then re-filling them with water. That part is ok. The bad part is when you have to deal with the dogs while bending down and scrubbing slippery surfaces.
Sunny is a licker. She feels that she needs to lick everything. Its.. difficult to have a dog (who was playing in the mud that you created when you dumped the water out) coming over and wanting to sit on you while licking your ear. Blah! I had to fend myself off with the hose a couple of times. Then Buster decides that he will save me by stepping inbetween us and leaning on me. A 140 lb dog and he's a leaner.
While cleaning the pool I set the scrubby thing aside and hosed it out. I catch, in the corner of my eye, Sunny sneaking away. I turn and she has the scrub pad in her mouth. I tell her to drop it, which she does, but then Buster goes over and grabs it. Ahh! So I finish up and play Tug-o-war with them while their pool fills up.
Yay for tomorrow being a half day. Back to splitting wood. Ick.
