Keep your friends close and your enemies closer

Fuck.

Liezl has been crying all day today. Apparently Claybourne or some other sixth-grader had been talking with Liezl on the phone, and said "I love you." Liezl replied in  turn, without thinking.

Problem is, she was going out with Andrew. And now half the freaking seventh grade is on her case.

I hate seeing her cry. There's been enough crap going around, and there's only a few of us supporting Liezl. Tina plans on staying neutral, but she says that Liezl shouldn't be treated like that - it's stupid to go crazy over one thing, I agreed.

I promised I'd back her up, and I plan on keeping it. I've considered her a friend for a long time. Jenny, Kimberly, Kelly, Lauren, Quan, and a few others of us are helping her. Heck, even David agrees.

Andrew hasn't talked to her, and I doubt he will anytime soon. He found out through Tramy, Vyvyan, and Julie Pham.  Tramy yelled at her, and she's been to the counselor at least twice today.

The guys, being on Andrew's side, immediately took a disliking to Liezl. I'm pissed, to say the least. Maybe I'm biased, but this isn't right, to have so many ganging up on one person, and only because the three girls against Liezl are the some of the most popular kids in our grade. Social status sucks ass. Vyvyan was one of the sweetest kids in our class last year, and now... I'd rather not think about it. Middle school seems to have warped all of us into somebody we look at in the mirror and realize we don't know anymore.

Seventh grade will end on a bitter note, I know it.

what is this i don't even, friends transcend words
