I like ice cream, but raw meat is still better. I want to try more human foods.

...what about them? I thought we were talking about what was tastier? Besides, the diseases most people would get from eating raw or near raw meats, are because they leave 'em out or something. Fresh kill is usually fairly safe, I think. I've never had any problesm, anyway.

Yeah, if you're eating captive cows that were fed the kind of feed that had ground up cow brains in it - not everyone eats just cows, miss. And not all cows have it - just depends on where you are and what your eating habits (and species) are.

Yep, that's how it got started, cows eating feed that was mixed with unused cowparts (including brains) - cannibal cows started mad cow disease, that's all.

Bovine spongiform encephalopathy (mad cow), is a fatal, neurodegenerative disease of cattle. If transmitted to a human (unlikely) it goes as a new variant of Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease. It was spread by giving cows Meat-Bone-Meal, which include the remains of other cows.

So, if you're eating a cow that isn't fed Meat Bone Meal, you're probably safe! :)
