2010: A Year In Review
Ganked from annundriel because I have nothing else better to do (besides write Legacy fic because apparently there aren't any Sam/Tronzler fics and that's a BFD).

My best story of this year:
Choosing a Best Story of the Year is impossible; whenever I start something I give it my all. I could go on a tangent about the subjectivity of "the best" (thank you, Penn & Teller) but instead I'll say that A Deafening Distance is the best I've written this past year.
My favorite story of this year:
Empyrean Glow. That is all.
Story of mine most under-appreciated by the universe, in my opinion:
Is this question here to make me look bad? I like my ego-inflated head just fine, thanks.
Most fun story to write:
Oh man. Um. I don't know; writing in general is fun, but what's the most fun story to write? When I'm not freaking out over Twitter or at gqgqqt? Um...
Point Pleasant was fun because Jim Kirk is one flirty angel and Bones McCoy is his poor put-upon charge. Sunny Banks of Sweet Deliverance was fun because Cupid tries so damn hard to hook up Dean and Castiel. Zodiac was fun because dagnirovanaliel and I went and ran off with the hashtag #100epsandstillnodinosaurs. Post Mortem was fun to write because Kali is one GQMF.
Sexiest story:
This is hard because I don't write straight-up porn. Oh. I wrote Darkfall, didn't I? It's either that, Halo of Flies, or Empyrean Glow for the win.
Story with the single sexiest moment:
Oh come on.
Most "Holy crap, that's wrong, even for you" story:
I think I'll have an answer for this in 2011. Have you seen the prompts at the Tron Kink Meme?
Story that shifted my own perception of the characters:
A Deafening Distance. I came up with the idea for it right after Christmas last year but I only started writing after watching Supernatural episode 5.11 "Sam, Interrupted". I don't know what happened but it gave me such a brilliant window into Sam's mind.
Hardest story to write:
A tie between A Deafening Distance and Empyrean Glow. The former was a destructive mindfuck, the latter was me freaking out over writing plotty porn.
But to be honest, the hardest thing I wrote this year is something that hasn't been published yet because it's in revision hell. There was this scene that I've been waiting to write for months and then I spent two hours in the campus bookstore cafe trying not to cry as I slowly wrote it.
Biggest Disappointment:
Not finishing my Dean/Castiel Big Bang fic in time.
Biggest Surprise:
I can write porn?
Most Unintentionally Telling Story:
I don't understand that reference.
Looking back, did you write more fic than you thought you would this year, less, or about what did you predict?
This is the first full year where I actually paid attention to how much fic I wrote so I have no idea. I think it's the word count that scares me the most.
What pairing/genre/fandom did you write that you would never have predicted in January 010?
Um. Gabriel/Crowley, for starters - actually, I never wrote straight-up Gabriel/Crowley, so never mind. Jensen/Misha, though. That was a surprise, since I tried to stay the fuck away from SPN/CW RPF.
Let's look at my unfinished fic. (Offscreen) mpreg. A horse racing AU. A superhero AU. South Park. Stan/Mysterion. TRON: Legacy. Sam/Tronzler.
Did you take any writing risks this year? What did you learn from them?
I participated in an online ficcing challenge. Actually, three. Turns out, I can write about chromatic issues without fucking things up.
Also, I can write porn.
Also, I can write a +100K fic (again).
Do you have any fanfic or profic goals for the New Year?
I'd love to write profic but more importantly I'd love to finish all the stories on my To Write list.
