Waliu....... Second week and I'm stressed......

It's weird..... it's only the second week of our Term 4, and I'm already stressed...... (or maybe it was my working environment.....)

For PPP, requirements are stated clearly on what we're suppose to do, so I assume MM classes using computers should be the same....

But for the Illustration it just stressed me out, coz King Sun had me sit up front during ONE on ONE critique session which mine lasted for 15 minutes min, coz he just see, and proceeds to draw a sample of my figures drawings... and only ask me "What do you se when I am drawing...?"

"...................................." In my mind I was thinking the diferences between the way you render and mine was the shading: the way he did it was like Visual Fundamentals.... You shouldn't shade hair in lines, and he ddn't comment on OTHERs of how they render the hair, which most are like mine..... and he told me you shouldn't shade it like you're in foundation anymore....

WTF?!!!!!

Then why he didn't state so when he asked us to passup our figures last week?! Then he said I should change my sketching style..... Which almost all his comments were in one ear, out the other....... did I say that he didn't comment on others who did the same thing? What's the purpose of the critique session if you don't tell the entire class who did what, so we don't commit the same mistake?

After all the critique session, THEN he said WE (Illo only) should shade/stroke the general shadow first, then build up the details..... Then how are we suppose to do so after blackening the part which was suppose to lighter and white? Putty eraser..... Does he have any idea how HARD it is to remove SOLID black pencil strokes with a putty eraser?!!!!!!

Oh yeah, sure..... he was teacher to MOST of the lecturers here...... and he was supposed to be the one that drew Batman..... He came in at almost 11, saying that "Why should I be here when you have nothing to show me?"

I was thinking "Why the heck we pay our fees for if the only thing you do is come in and say there's no guidelines?" Yes, he said this method applies to our later color pencil sketching/drawing/whatsoever...... We were like "Different style are suppose to have different techniques to render right? Like in acrylic, watercolor, pencil, pastel?"

No, he insisted there's no absolute way. I agree, but please lar don't insist there's no guidelines... If there aren't any, then why the @#$%^&* he said that I shouldn't shade in this way?!!!!! It's already a guideline for @#$%^&*sake!!!!!!!!

The night after, which was supposed to use to render the simplified figures for Visual Fundamentals just simply went down the drain..... I have no mood to draw AT ALL, and I can't sleep much; I got cranky internally, but my family doesn't noticed this..... Only the next morning I rushed the whole 9 figure, but just managed to finished the required 4, the remaining 5 have to halt, coz at class he said we're suppose to shade/stroke the hair this way......

Hoon Sun's class elated me a little, as I get to see friends, and maybe because I was working in the afternoon, and the lecturer seemes to have this "The techniques/formula/do-s & don't-s are revealed week after week" attitude, making us looking forward to this class.... I wasn't mad AT ALL with this class compare to Illustration I.....

My sister also said maybe I should changed my major to ID since I always look so stressed and ALWAYS complained..... trirose  and YM will kill me for sure.....

So to lightened my mood, I had screencaps from the FFVII AC-Special Disc of the Advent: Limited Pieces Edition of a jakun Yazoo and Loz.

SIGH........ Now must do work for Typography........... and since I still have no mood to do work, I'll leave it for tommorrow......
