(no subject)
Writing on LJ has become a not too frequent thing anymore. D: It'll be mostly my fandom related stuff I suppose.
Anyhoo. Getting all prep'd for Ota crap is really BLARGH and I'm about to tear my hair out but. . . I found this Japanese web comic that was somewhat interesting and it turns out that it's getting published sometime soon. Or I think it's published already. Not sure.

It's been actually ranked the manga of the year apparently. O_o
The story takes place in the "Hong Kong Wall St". After Britain returned Hong Kong, a natural or artificial (no one knows which it is yet) disaster hit the city and destroyed it. On top of the rubbles, people created a brand new city surrounded by walls in the span of 10 years. Due to its rapid growth, there was no proper government nor laws so, the city was an abandoned untouchable area in the world.
The main character Rin is a veteran "cleaner" (who cleans up dead bodies) for 10 years. The ones who practically rule the city is an organization called the "Heishin" (which translates to Black Star) filled with people with special abilities (aka "magic"). They practically do whatever they want and I believe they're plotting to do something terrible or something something. . . idk. They all seem to be named after cards.
So, it all begins when the master of the bar (the "Mama") finds 2 stray siblings Wei and Chao who were being chased down by some members of the Heishin. They were taken in and Rin ends up having to take care of them. From there, the story unfolds and. . .
SOMETHING HAPPENS. I don't know yet. I just picked up the manga last night and I was quite impressed that she had like 400+ pages drawn out already as a web comic in the past 3 years. @_@ ps- I only wrote this summary after reading only 20 pages of it so. . . I DON'T GUARANTEE ANYTHING! :D
It seems very generic but, at the same time very interesting. Her art is very shounen (leans towards the G-Fantasy type of style. XD) Soooo for those who enjoy a very simple, easy reading amateur web comic, this is being promoted right now. . . but it's only Japanese of course. :D
I wanna check out more of it but. . . I have no time. T_T;; I wanna watch anime and roll around and be lazy. Boooo. Wei seems like a very cool chara. :D I'm assuming he's the Joker that ran away from the organization n'all but. . . WE'LL SEE!
Also there's a lot of chinese in this for some reason. . . aside from the fact that it takes place in Hong Kong (and they speak in Mando? LOL)
