Tutorial #01 - Sakura in Wonderland
We're going from this to this:

Difficulty: Easy.. I think xD
o1. Open your image [well duh xD], then crop it to 96 x 96. Duplicate the layer and set it to Color burn. Adjust opacity to your liking and flatten your image [Layer >> Flatten Image]. [I used 100%] Should look something like this:
o2. Duplicate your base twice. Set the top most duplicate to Overlay at 50% and the one below it to Multiply at 50%. Its contrasty now XD. It should now look like this:
o3. Now for my favorite part :DD The Color Balance! Go to Layer >> New Adjustment Layer >> Color Balance. Play with the settings to match your image :3 Here are my settings if anyone wants them. My image now looks like this:
[Okay I don't think the Color Balance helped with the contrasti-ness xD]
o4. This is optional. I just like using Motion Blur and it made some parts abit lighter XD; Duplicate your base and put it on top. Adjust the contrast abit then go to Filter >> Blur >> Motion Blur and set the Angle to 0 and the distance to 999. And yes I am aware that my icon is way contrasty xD
o5. We'll fix the contrast now :DD Make a new layer and fill it with black [#000000]. Set this layer to Color at 50%. You can lower the opacity if you like though ;3
o6. Lets add a light texture :DD Add this texture by crazykira-resources on Screen 100% :3 My icon now looks like this:
o7. You can skip this step and go right to step o8 if you want. But I wanted to make my icon a tad bit more contrasty xD Make a new layer and fill it with black. But this time set it to Softlight at 50% :3
o8. Flatten your image now! [Layer >> Flatten Image] Copy your image [Ctrl+C]. Make a new document [Ctrl + N] thats 100 x 100 in size. Fill it with white and add a border to it with this brush by me :3 Or better yet, just paste it onto this xD [Its transparent]
Gawd I'm boring XD I hope I didn't bore you guys to death xD I was bored to death and that resulted in this lame tutorial :DD
