30 Days of TV: Day 10
Day 10 - A show you thought you wouldn’t like but ended up loving

Honestly, I'm not even sure why I didn't want to watch this at first XD Maybe it's the way Space channel cut the commercial for it, or the slightly dodgy CGI, or a mix of both, but it just really didn't interest me at all-- I wasn't even sure what it was about ^^; Then I caught the 'Alice' miniseries, discovered the awesomeness that is Andrew Lee Potts (see icon) and, looking him up on imdb.com, found that he was in the show. And so I checked it out and it turned out to actually be really good. ALP's character was the very definition of 'adorkable' and everyone else was pretty awesome too. Also, there are dinosaurs, how did i not know this. So yeah, I've watched the whole thing through twice now XD and some eps more than that and am (impatiently) awaiting S4 and S5, which were commissioned at the same time after the show had been revived from cancellation... and boy, am I glad it got un-cancelled before I started to watch it, or I would've been freaking out at the end of S3, lol! The CGI is still a bit dodgy sometimes (tho still pretty good for tv), some plot points were a bit frustrating (tho that can happen with any show) and, for various reasons, they've got a character turnover that actually rivals Torchwood (yeah, i know :S), but it's still fun and awesome and I really love it <3 I only can't believe I didn't bother checking it out sooner!
In conclusion: ALP. And dinosaurs.
