[NDS] Harvest Moon Sunshine Islands
Summer was way too hot. Not a single day of rain nor typhoon. I had a few cloudy days though, so went down the mines about 2 times and got more Orange Suteki. Now it totals to about 7. Naturally won the chicken festival. The appetizer-themed cooking festival was a bit worrying because I planned to enter Potato Croquette but forgot to buy the needed flour one day before :(
I made Steamed egg custard instead. It's choke full of whatever mushroom and fish I could fit in and won~ Cat festival also needed a few reloads to win even at 10 hearts, a staple for pet festivals. Got extra Suteki's.
The fishing festival was a nightmare. I can fish large fish now but the rate isn't high. And they require ridiculously high stats to place #1 (something like average of 8 pr 8.5/10 over the 3 stats) so I had to fish on the day to get 10/10 freshness, orz. After alot of fishing and reloads, finally won one. So worth it; it's another Orange~
And a few days later I got this:
Went into the fridge and got lost amidst inferior fish.
Always come when you're not looking, eh?
On 26th was Fireworks Festival. Watched with my honey (abit of a waste of time considering it achieves nothing >>).
The next day, it was our anniversary~ Vaughn gifted me an extra (Yellow) Suteki. Can't you bring me an Indigo instead?
Why are you so surprised I remember?
2 days later it was the crop festival. I had my field filled with 180 Corn and 60 Onion. And wheat and soybeans that take forever to mature. And oranges (the fruit) was ready for harvest. Watering schedule was a nightmare orz. So I forgot to leave onions on my field, and the last batch only matured on 29th itself so it came out as B rank and got 2nd place v_v Good stats overall but quality not high enough thanks to too much sun which I can't control. Checking the weather ahead though, the Suteki would've been extra, so it's not that bad a loss. Still sad to lose a crop festival for the first time.
But! Thanks to the lovely corn and my many Suffolk Sheep (8 by now, at least half are mature) together with a x5 Shears and Milker, by the end of the season I had about 1 million in cash. First million~ Now waiting for Green sprites to come back and I'll finally start building the exorbitant greenhouse and its extensions. Ideally I wanted pineapples in there but I only lately realized it needs to be unlocked -_- Need to ship 100 Soybeans and I stand at 0, which was why I added Soybeans to my field but they won't mature till Fall. I don't think Chen will stock (Summer) Pineapple seeds in Fall. Sigh. Fail again. (Well, there's the faster method of buying 100 Soybeans at Chen and shipping that but it's a waste of money so I rather not).
Oh well. I don't think I have much need for cash after the greenhouse so it doesn't hurt to wait 1 year to get pineapples I guess. In fact, this Fall onwards is Retirement years!
