rip Mrs B
Just seen Mo cat with something at the bottom of the garden, and rushed out to find it was Mrs B.
I know its a cats instinct to hunt, but I love my birds, and having a blackbird couple visit my garden has been a delight. The blackbirds are probably my favorites. So I am very sad. Poor Mr B. They will have been building a nest together, now he will wonder where she is. She was still warm when I picked her up. I hoped somehow she might ruffle her feathers and fly off, but it was too late.
She was always more shy and careful than a lot of the other birds, and Mo cat isnt a big hunter like his brother, so its somehow even more of a tragedy that his rare hunt has ended with Mrs B's loss.
First casualty of the year, and its rather a blow. :(
