He turned back to inspect the dead doctor’s body for any hints. He was seriously starting to think Vermouth had just came back to finish her job and left. Though, the snickering mirror image of Shinichi stepped behind him and helped him up.
"Okay," he said lightly. "I’m going to ask you this again, Kudo Shinichi. Are you absolutely sure that you didn’t kill Doctor Ariade in a jealous rage?"
Shinichi scoffed. "How many times do I have to answer this question from you?"
The boy grinned that annoying grin of his. "Just wanting to make sure. There is only one truth, after all."
