Flailing and Panic - Oh My!!
Well, I FINALLY found a place to live! Rents are outrageous and the apartments fly off the market in about the time it takes me to read the ad and then dial the number (or send an e-mail). Thankfully, though, I got a place today even though I can't get into it until the 15th. BUT since the buyers of this place are letting me rent it for a week (to October 5th), that means I only need to find a temporary place for me and the cats for 10 days (3 of which I'll be out of town, which just adds a level of complication - grrrr!!!).
Anyway, I looked at a calendar today and realized I only have just over a week to get things organized before I go to Montreal for 5 days (!) and I have two days to get things organized before the garbage guys show up on Saturday (!!) and I have to run to one of my mortgage holders tomorrow morning because they won't release info to my lawyer without me going there in person (or sending them something in writing I guess - I don't know, the guy had a pretty strong accent) (!!!) and then I have to get downtown to meet a friend for lunch (!!!!).
Panicking? I don't know why you'd think that...*ahem*
Other than all of that going on, I've been writing steadily on my original story (Along Came Jones...yeah, I think I like that title :) ) while sloooowwwwly starting to pack (need to PICK UP THE PACE - OMG!!) and watching movies and TV shows on DVD while I'm doing these things.
I strongly suspect I'm going to be VERY happy when October 16th rolls around - LOL.
