Playlist Of The Week #22

Jun 16, 2011 09:12

Hi guys! Just passing by to provide you with some dark, unknown music today, as the playlist will almost exclusively be made up of independant bands. Yay for them if they can get new fans! As usual, HERE to grab the .zip and on with the...

01. Où Sont Les Milliards - Broken Box
Massive addiction of mine ahead. French rock, gorgeous feminine voice, nice instrumental although a little too simplistic to my taste and interesting lyrics, so you should really pay them a visit on their Myspace.

02. The Prophecy - Audiomachine
I have already talked about them but if any of you missed the previous playlist then you must know that you have definitely already heard them without knowing it and HERE is the proof. I love their work as they produce a type of music we do not always think of but still enjoy while watching trailers or advertisements.

03. Black Sky - MetaMorph
Discovered that one yesterday. Indie trip-hop I fell in love with instantly so here it is. You can hear more of him HERE.

04. On And On - Amy Crowther
Also something that I discovered yesterday thanks to MetaMorph's recommandations actually. I like the singer's voice and the instrumental lies between electro and pop, nice but not too heavy, I like it. You can find the girl's other songs HERE.

05. Theme To St. Trinian's - Girls Aloud
Yay for girly music! I love that song as it really has a spirit-lifter effect on me and you easily get into it so yeah, enjoy.

06. Alien Civilization - High Tim
Yet another discovery I made by browsing MetaMorph's website. This piece stands between an intricate mix of rock, electro and trip-hop and I fell for it too. If you are interested in hearing more, you can find other songs HERE.

07. Just A Little Bit - Ghostcat
If you did not pay attention to Everybody On The Dancefloor then shame on you and go hide in a dark corner! Although the previously mentioned song is my absolute favourite, being for the clip or the rhythm or the completely screwy atmosphere, I still have a liking for this one. And please, please pay them a visit HERE, they are wonderful and deserve to be known.

And that's it for today, see you next week!
