Theme & Regular Challenge Specific Rules

Please note the rules posted here may or may not apply to different challenges. They are posted here for reference if/when the mod wishes to use them for a round. If they are not linked directly from within a challenge post they will not apply. Only the rules in the user info will always apply.

Please read those rules before entering icons here. Behind the cut are challenge specific rules regarding theme challenges & regular challenges. They are posted here for challenge moderators to link.
The rules on the User Info page will always apply but challenges may differ as follows:
Regular Challenge
You may only use images that were given/linked to by the moderator within the challenge post.
Entry period: Regular challenges will be open for 9 days.
Theme Challenge
You find images yourself that fit a given theme. Please follow the guidelines below.
Guidelines for Theme Challenges (In Which You Find Your Own Images)
In keeping with the community focus at least 2 of your icons must include a Hobbit* character.
They may be with other characters in the image or you may blend images. If you enter over 2 icons you may use any characters on your third, and fourth icons.

Please read below if you need examples.
Entry of 1-2 icons must feature Hobbits. Other characters may be included in the icon but they must be accompanied by the aforementioned.
Examples:
Entry of 2 icons must all include Hobbits.
1 icon of Frodo/Gandalf, 1 icon of Gollum
Entry of 3-5 icons icons must include 2 Hobbits.
1 icon of Frodo/Galadriel, 1 icon of Bilbo, 1 icon of Thorin Oakenshield, 1 icon of Arwen
Entry Period: Theme challenges will be open for 12 days. That way you have extra time to find pictures.
Moderator's note:
The above rules apply to specific theme challenges, but regular challenge images in which images are provided, may in the feature different characters and sometimes could feature no Hobbits at all. Some theme challenges may also vary depending on the theme.
Actors Out of Character /Cast Member Challenges
These may happen occasionally, depending on if people are interested. There will be a poll posted beforehand.
