Home Fires Burning
Early in the morning, when the waitstaff came in to begin the days baking, after the first of the deliveries had been made, an explosion rocked the storeroom of the Snack J. Seconds after Jun went to see what had happened, the garage across the street -- the one that housed her Busa, antique Ducati and the G3 that had taken her through the Egobossler campaign -- exploded.
Neighbors had pulled several figures from the path of flame. Firemen were busy trying to keep the fire from spreading to other buildings and to rescue individuals from inside the J. If ISO operatives were already on the scene, they had yet to reveal themselves.
