Ever since Mum moved here 5 years ago, her neighbor Jose has stood on his back porch & watched us whenever we’re in the backyard. He just stares, barely blinking. It’s grown from just weird to unsettling as fuck.
There’s a chain link fence & a few taller bushes between the yards, but he has a clear view of the back porch. He doesn’t answer when Mum brings it up, or get the hint when we give dirty looks. He never talks to us or does anything except stare, but it’s like there’s no privacy or consideration being given here. There aren’t wild parties or gatherings here, just us sitting out back with a cuppa tea with the cat.
I want to yell at Jose to go away & stop creeping my mum out, but idk what his intentions are & maybe he doesn’t get that it makes us uncomfortable. But approaching him politely might not work either. He doesn’t know much English & my Spanish is too awful to communicate a serious issue effectively.
I don’t want to blow up all like OMG EW PERV YOU’RE CREEPY GTFO, or TYPICAL MALE NOT RESPECTING WOMEN ASDFFF
But this is really, really bothering me.
