tests can suck my left ovary
21 years old, a junior in college, and I've been taking tests for HOW LONG?!
and I'm still a terrible test taker.
I know the content and could manage to do a decent job on homework, but as soon as you put a test in front of me I choke. My test grades this semester have been less than wonderful.. more like the highest so far has been a 79.
I'm disappointed in myself, yet not really all that surprised. I've always had problems taking tests and while I've gotten better in college it's still something that makes my brain hiccup and access the wrong parts of the brain at the wrong time. I could study for hours and still not pull a fantastic grade on the test. I've had three midterms in the span of less than a week and needless to say the pressure's on.
However, it was amusing to know that my Data Comms II class had a midterm average of 54; the damn thing was too hard! So Zubairi (the professor) sent out the following email:
Hey students
I think you are tired of dealing with numbers in CSIT434. I am sorry I mean CSIT435. See I also got tired of numbers ;-)
After the break, we are going to be emphasizing more on the working of various protocols in the Internet. There would be less emphasis on numerical values and operations. I cannot skip anything necessary so there would be some tough topics. Make no mistake!! it is a senior level course!
I've never encountered a professor who uses emoticons and attempts a joke ;-; he's so awesome but goddamn are his exams hard as hell ;;;;
So.. home tomorrow. To my mom's new house, to my own room that I haven't had the privilege of since I moved out from my dad's house, to a new place. I'm going to miss the Pack so much, but I like having a change of pace. That and I GET PAID OMFG.
I gave myself some new temp tats and watched IronMan with Saraface, Da, and Seth tonight and it felt so good to sit around and laugh. Some things just never change, especially the fact that I momentarily pondered the idea of using the tattoo marker to write "Powered by Stark Industries" on my back and draw a power symbol button xD
My best ideas come from being around people I trust and love like family. ♥
Pepperoni bread with a side of totally-melted Cake Batter ice cream is a really really good combination, by the way.
