I'd like to take a moment to tell you that BUFFALO TRIED TO KILL US.
When we tried to leave campus, there was a sheet of ice about 1/4" thick on my windshield @ @ it took about half an hour to get it off, and that should've been my sign to not leave on Friday. But of course, we did.
Shortly after we passed Exit 57 in separate cars, I spun off the road and almost hit the guard rail. I swear I missed it by mere inches and almost pissed myself. I basically was in the righthand lane, swerved left, then right as I tried to keep the wheel in control and ended up with my driver's side inches away from a guardrail leading to certain death. I tried to get out of the way of traffic by slowly turning around, but I ended up skidding to the left side of the road into a crevice head-first. I was fucking SCREAMING cos I couldn't find my phone to call Allstate, but thank god a really nice guy pulled over and towed me back out with his trailer hitch. I was sobbing when I called my mom and Seth, but I eventually calmed down.
Then as we hit the LeRoy exit, Seth spun out and I freaked cos his interior lights weren't on. I had been following him most of the way because he has the GPS, and I slowed down when I saw his licence plate sticking out of the snowbank. I slowed down and pulled over as he got out the side of his car, and we called Allstate. The good news: OnStar came to save him and he wasn't hurt (thank GOD), the bad news: I couldn't stay with him cos the road was too narrow for me to be nearby, so I had to wait near the toll booths. I felt awful about the towing bill, but at least the guy was nice about it..
We made it back, and went to a late birthday party for Lynna & Eric on Saturday. I finally met Ashley's boyfriend, whom I approve of xD, and we ended up staying for 12 hours til 4am! Ever heard of the game Man Laws & Woman Rules? It. Is. Hilarious. The man laws are funnier, but you have to guess if other people are going to agree or disagree with the laws/rules! I'm seriously considering getting my own copy of it to bring back to Fredonia with me.
Sunday consisted of meeting up with Ashley, Sarah, and Audrey to get dinner at the diner and wander around Target. It was so nice that it was easy to grab everyone and just hang out. I can't even tell you how long it's been since making plans was that simple.
Then on Monday, Seth had to go home. ): So we spent the first part of the day relaxing and gathering his things together, and then we parted ways and said our goodbyes like something out of a movie: I stand outside his car window wearing nothing but sweatpants and my lucky green hoodie to kiss him goodbye, then stand and watch him pull away. He barely drives 100 feet before rolling his window down and yelling "I LOVE YOU!", which of course incites me to run and catch up just to kiss him again and say it back. ^ ^ Then I stood outside watching him leave until he was out of sight..
Yesterday I was recruited to help Zach find the prefect gift for a potential girlfriend after he had scoured several malls and Targets, and it turned into an adventure consisting of the following: creepy as fuck backroads, Audrey grabbing my neck and me almost breaking her arm in the process, Zach agreeing that I'm the most likely to get raped cos I'm a weakling (fucker), getting completely lost (or as we called it "driving without a purpose", finding this place called Beers of the World in search of a beer-making kit for Zach's dad, and questing for monkey speakers and Audition on DVD (which we never found). We eventually got hungry, ended up at Buffalo Wild Wings playing trivia on the huge flatscreens above us and Zach checking out the annoying group of chicks behind us.
Made it home 5 hours later with my wallet still untouched and the realisation that I FORGOT TO GET MY BROTHER A CARD. D: I also had the idea of getting him one of each flavour of 5gum since he loves the stuff so much. And since Dad has my car and Mum's car sucks, I'm wondering how on God's good earth I'm going to pull this off.
Oh well.
Right now I'm enjoying some apple cake and wondering when I'll get the energy to go clean the bathroom before Mum gets home from work around 2. Still haven't made the chocolate cookies yet..
