(no subject)
We came to a total of five puppies, two boys and three little girls. So far, so good. She finished around 4:30, and I slept for six hours while my mom stayed with them - then we switched off. You can tell that Gemmy (the dam) is very proud.
No pictures yet (gotta do that for you guys, and for my own future enjoyment), but right now they look rather flat and pretty generic: just little squirmy things wrapped in close velveteen fur. Moles, maybe, or sausages with stumpy legs (when you have to pass through the pelvic girdle to enter the world, evolution tends to favor a certain even shape). But they have tiny pink muzzles and tiny pink feet (and tiny tiny toenails that already need trimming) and they are OMG so cute and obviously require frequent kissing and cooing-over.
