O the emptiness, (or Avoid the Void)

My id... she has gone, far away from this boat, leaving me only five-sixths of a man.  Simultaneously, I feel completely hollowed and filled with tepid water, which is rather confusing.

I suppose I could take a spin around the boat, and maybe visit this new brewpub I've heard so much about. Sergei's was it?

That part of me that needs to be filled is aching. The company of a good friend could help quite well. Mr. Kage could fill me with his sixth any time!

Kage--

Sir, I'm not sure this is something you should be talking to total strangers about.

My goodness, you're right! how rude of me. Please sir, as a welcome new guest on our boat, how wonderful it would be to accept you into my abode tonight!

[Verrim is currently completely convinced that Samuel is sleeping with Kage. Congratulations. He also thinks he might have just been propositioned. Double-congratulations.]

That's...all right, really. I'm fine. I've been here over a week, I'm adjusting pretty well. Thank you for the offer, but I wanted to...work on exploring the rest of the ship during the day, and I go to bed really early compared to the rest of you so it really wouldn't work out very well if you asked to have me over, I'd have to leave as soon as I got there and that wouldn't be fair to anyone!

[BREEAAATHES.]

But, uh, thank you again.

Well, if you say so. But the offer stands! I won't have anyone thinking I am a poor host!

No, uh, I'm sure you're a wonderful--a wonderful host.

[Now he's assuming you're a male prostitute, triplegratz.]

Just--uh--I'm not really interested--I mean that, you know, I'm not usually--I don't--uh--

[Pause. SUBJECT CHANGE.]

Oh! Oh, uh, I didn't get your name! I'm Verrim. It's very nice to meet you!

A privilege, Verrim. I am Samuel Goldthwaine Robinson Jr., though in my youth I was oft-known as "Sammsie," or sometimes "Pork-barrel Bottomed Samuel with no friends". Call me either!

Samuel Goldthw--uh.

That's a very long proper name, Sir Robinson. Nice to meet you.

What is it you do, Verrim? Would you happen to be a game hunter? Because I've found myself in dire need of one indeed. Dire need, indeed... nire deed, id need... sounds like Latin. The Romans hunted quite a bit too, you know. Good company we keep. Tell me, as a hunter, how does one properly translate "ENire deedi ide needeus" from the Latin?

...Uh.

I'm...not a hunter, Sir Robinson, I'm a priest. And a Seer. Maybe you should ask around for a hunter if you need to talk to one so badly. Or someone who understands more than half of what you say.

A priest? I do say, a man of the cloth is quite needed on this vessel as of late. Please then, I beckon you to baptize Erol! I feel he could use it.
