[So, Souji is walking into the apartment he shares with Naoto, carrying what appears to be a small box in his arms. However, after closing the door, he puts the box down, and it then proceeds to basically run all over the place, making excited yipping noises. He looks around.]

Naoto, are you there?

[ Hearing the door open, she steps out of the bedroom to greet Souji, smiling. ]

[ Then she spots the mad box, and immediately goes into defensive stance, when did she get her gun out anyway? ]

W-what is that?!

I'm... Not quite sure. Here's the story. Someone I met here, his name's Naoki, suddenly found a box containing an... Embarrassing gift someone gave him. Then, all of the sudden, the box began moving around, yipping, and all around acting like a dog.

... And recently, the box had babies. That's one of them. He's looking for people to take them in. So, I asked if I could bring one over when I asked you about it, so you'd see what I meant...

Oh, by the way, they don't like it if you open them and remove what's inside.

[ She looks from him to the yipping box, wary. ]

How do we know it's not dangerous?

Well, it doesn't seem to be CAPABLE of doing anything other than run around, yip and reproduce... I saw it before it began moving, it was just a box. Apparently, they don't even need to eat.

It doesn't mean the possibility isn't there. We don't know exactly what it is, and frankly, I do not want to take in something this strange, in case it proves to be destru-

[ An as if on cue, the box runs into a table leg with a thump, then recoils with a whimper. ]

... destructive.

[He sighs, almost as if relieved.] I agree. If anything, this looks like it'll break the rule for no noisy pets around at the dorm. I'll take it back. [And so, he grabs the still whimpering box.] I'll be back in a minute.

[ She still eyes the box as he grabs it, and nods. ]
