Musical Gala and other ramblings

What an evening! Yesterday I went to the Forum in Ludwigsburg to see a musical gala with four famous musical stars in the German musical scene.
But before we went there my mum, me and Jeannine were at a pizzeria. I had tortellini al forno and a chocolate milk shake. Yummy yummy. After that I went to the Fantasy Stronghold to buy the novel to the first Underworld movie. It's my favorite vampire series and I want to know some more about it.

At the Forum I bought a live recording of yesterday evening's show which I will get very soon *is excited* The actors sang songs from Phantom of the Opera, Ludwig², Elisabeth, Spamalot, Aspects of Love and many more. Even Disney songs like Bella Notte. They all had great voices. Sadly Kevin Tarte did not sing anything from Tanz der Vampire. But still it was a fabulous experience. I was there last year and it didn't matter that they sang many sngs I already knew.

In two weeks I'll go to see the new musical Die drei Musketiere (The Three Musketeers) in Stuttgart of which I have heard many good things. And at the end of the year the second show in Stutgart will be "Wicked - Die Hexen von Oz". My online buddy Emma has told me many good things about it so I will go there too soon (yeah as if next winter is soon *lol*)

Oh and I finished to read the original "Phantom od the Opera" by Gaston Leroux. How much Andrew Lloyd Webber has changed for his musical! Unbelievable. And the movies are no better. The movie which is the most true to the story (of the PotO adaptions I have seen yet) is the silent movie from 1925. What I liked most was that the book was mainly Raoul de Chagny's point of view. The poor guy doesn't get enough tribute for his work. Another thing to ramble about: I got this book for 1 Cent at amazon. Some persons don't recognize a good piece of literature.

Nanuk is stalking me at the moment with her Tanz der Vampire obsession. She is so in love with our German musicals. But you have BROADWAY! Well, what I want to say before this post gets much longer: she made me reopne my old TdV internet site. It just needs some rebuilding and new coding and it will go online. Of course I will add other vampire related stuff as well.
