Chapter 35
Final Fantasy
Thirty-five minutes. That's all it took for twelve individuals to come to a consensus on a verdict. Tina was so sure it would be quick, she advised Jenn and her friends to not even bother leaving the court house.
Everyone was brought back into the courtroom. Hugh leaned forward and held hands with Jenn as the verdict was read.
The judge asked, "Madam Foreman, has the jury reached a verdict?"
The Foreman stood and answered, "Yes we have, your Honor." The Foreman handed the verdict on a piece of paper to the bailiff who in turn handed it to the judge. He read it and it was returned to the Foreman.
"Will the defendant please stand. Madam Foreman, please read the verdict to the court."
"We the jury in the case of the state of California vs. Jesse Gordon Spencer, find Mr. Spencer on count 1, Felony Kidnapping, GUILTY. On count 2, Aggravated Assault and Battery, GUILTY. On count 3, Rape, Guilty."
Jenn dropped her chin to her chest as a heavy weight seemed to immediately lift off her shoulders. She felt Hugh squeeze her shoulder with his free hand and she looked up into his eyes and smiled with relief.
"Mr. Spencer, you have been found guilty by a jury of your peers. I am ready to hand down your punishment."
Jenn turned and looked upon the man who had once been her fiance as he stood awaiting his fate.
The judge stated, "Jesse Gordon Spencer, you have been found guilty of Felony Kidnapping, Aggravated Assault and Battery, and Rape. You are to be incarcerated at California's San Quentin Prison for a term no longer than twelve years. Parole will be possible in seven. The court would like to thank the ladies and gentlemen of the jury. Court is adjourned."
As Jenn watched Jesse's reaction to the sentence being handed down, she momentarily felt sorry for him. He visibly paled when he realized he was going to prison for seven to twelve years. But her momentary feelings of sorrow for him left just as quickly when he turned and faced her. He looked at her with such hate in his eyes as if this was all her fault! She decided in that moment to turn away from Jesse,...and never look back!
After Jesse was escorted out of the courtroom, everyone was celebrating on Jenn's side! Lots of hugs and kisses were being passed around as friends and family congratulated her on the victory! It had been a long day and it was nearly 7 pm, but most everyone decided to go out for dinner and drinks to continue the celebration.

Hugh and Jenn got back to the condo around 9:30 p.m. They were both dragging from the exhausting day in court...especially Jenn. She leaned into Hugh as he put his arms around her.
"I am wiped!" declared Jenn.
'I have an idea. Why don't you get out of your court clothes, and I'll run you a nice hot bubble bath. How does that sound?"
"Like your my British Knight in shining armour!" purred Jenn as she squeezed Hugh's ass cheeks while dropping a kiss on his heart.
As Jenn sauntered away to go change out of her clothes, Hugh groaned and said, "Damn sexy woman is gonna be the death of me!"
Fifteen minutes later, Jenn entered the bathroom wearing one of Hugh's long t-shirts, with her hair up in a messy bun. She saw Hugh leaning over checking the temperature of the water in the tub.
"Hey Babe, you going to join me?" she asked as she got a couple of towels ready.
"Mmm...sounds like an offer I can't refuse!"
"Ok, Don Corleone! Get that sweet ass in the tub!" teased Jenn.
As Hugh started undressing, he looked at Jenn and complained, "Ya know I'm not just a piece of meat!"
At his comment, Jenn stood directly in front of him, lifted the T-shirt over her head exposing her naked body, and said to him, "Excuse me, were you just complaining about getting in the tub?"
"NO MAM! Consider me covered in bubbles immediately!" shrieked Hugh as he jumped in the tub and sat down and waited for Jenn to join him. She just stood there grinning at his antics.
When Jenn finally got in she sat in front of Hugh and leaned back against his chest. "Oh my God, this feels so good after today. I didn't think this day was ever going to end," uttered Jenn as she rubbed her hands along Hugh's legs.
Hugh started to place butterfly kisses on the nape of her neck as he informed her, "I know one thing...tomorrow we only have two things on the agenda. Sleeping in late and lots of sex!"
Jenn giggled and said, "You better find time in there for some food....we're going to need nourishment!"
"Good point. I think I'll start with this beautiful neck," growled Hugh as returned his lips to her neck and started nibbling and kissing.
Jenn stretched her head to the side to give him better access as she exclaimed, "Oh you don't fight fair! You know one of my G Spots is my neck!"
"MMmmm, You don't say!?"
The hot water was so soothing and relaxing. And the feel of Hugh's arms around her with him nibbling on her neck was just so calming. Jenn couldn't help it. She felt her lids getting heavier and heavier.
"Jenn? Honey?" Hugh had stopped kissing her neck when he felt her body go completely still. Surely she hadn't fallen asleep? Had she?
"Jenn, wake up sweetness!"
Jenn woke with a start and said, "Oh Hugh! I'm so sorry! I can't believe I fell asleep on you...I was just so tired after today. I'll catch a second wind."
Hugh stood up to get out of the tub and stated, "You'll do no such thing young lady! We are going to tuck you into bed so you can get some rest!"
After he dried off his chest and wrapped a towel around his waist, Hugh helped Jenn out of the tub and helped dry her off as well. She then wrapped a towel around her body and they went into the bedroom. Once they were dressed for bed and had taken care of their night-time routines, they both fell into bed.
Jenn curled up against Hugh and laid her head on his chest.
"Hugh, I love you so much."
"I love you too Jenn. I can't believe everything that's happened in such a short amount of time. I never could have dreamed I'd actually be lying here with you in my arms."
"I feel the same way baby. To me, you were a fantasy that could never come true...but here you are!"
Hugh put his palm on her cheek and turned her face up so her lips met his and said, "you know what the best part of this fantasy is? We get to LIVE HAPPILY EVER AFTER!"
