Stargate Secret Santa
Dear Secret Santa,
I found SGU to be really problematic. I would love a story with Ming-Na Wen's HR character, Camile Wray, to be the emotional badass. She was often presented as an antagonist to the military component, but I would love to see her trajectory through the SGC as a strong advocate for consent and trauma-informed HR choices in the face of the military, "walk it off" culture. Who was she before she got stuck on that ship? Interactions with any SG1 or SGA characters a plus.
Looking for something fairly realistic and mature, looking at the bonkers stuff we love in Star Gate from the lens of HR. Not looking for romance, other than Wray and her canon partner perhaps talking about the bonkers stuff she deals with. (Does the partner have clearance?) (F/F chosen because Wray is canonically in a relationship with a woman, but explicit not needed, and partner doesn't even need to appear.)
And, if you want to go there, what did being on Destiny do to her inner life?
