Ok Taking Back Sunday fuckin rocked. I drove there and got there sooooooo early. And I’m waiting on line for like 20 minutes and they finally let everyone in and everyone like RAN as fast as they could. And im like screw that there is no way that they r getting a good standing space this early. So I get in and see that its pretty good, it was a good venue. But like there was no reason to run, like literally only 10 people stood by the stage for an hr and half to get in. So I was waiting and Gena and a friend of hers showed up. I thought she couldn’t make it cuz it was sold out but low and behold she did. Her hoTT roomate Claire gave up her ticket so she could go. So I chilled with her and this 23 yr old guy friend. I bought some beers and jus chilled and talked. And this guy friend wouldn’t shut up about whos posers and who isn’t. I wanted to jus to be like “Shut the Fuck up you’re a poser loser, your 23, stop worryin bout posers.” So than all his friends showed up and they all worked at A+F and were like ChiLLllLl. But they were all alright.
So we got right near the stage and it started with The Format, which was good but they seemed way to high to be singing. Their music was good and sounded like the little bit of Format music iv listened to since getting the tickets. But after each song they were SooOOOOo monotone and were like “Lets all jus love one another” which they made as a joke, but he totally did it in like the most serious way. So I walked away and grabbed a beer and jus left the area for a bit. But still listened cuz they were still good. Around this time it was like sunny and 80, so It wasn’t really like in the mood time yet.
Next up was Anberlin which were really good. They really got into their set and had the crowd going. They also interacted with the audience and didn’t seem like they had set things to say, they just went with it. So by now everyone was waiting for Taking Back Sunday.
So Gena and some people left to go to a different part of the stage but our spot was soooo good. So I stayed with the 23 year old poser hater kid. But he was good. So this was around 8:25...cuz both The Format and Anberlin only had like 25 min sets. So everyone was getting annoyed and waiting for TBS. So the 23 year old started talking to me and was like telling me how Green Day is posers cuz they use a guitar solo from another person not in their band and than hes like “So whats your favorite TBS CD” And my mind totally blanked. Like I couldn’t even think of my name. So I really don’t remmeber what I said. But I did say “But im not a poser!!” and hes like “nah I can smell posers from 3 miles away”
I don’t kno why he chose three miles. I usually hear a mile away, not three miles, but I guess hes good at smellin out posers. Fuckin weird kid. So finally TBS started up and you could tell they were gonna rock. I did notice something Dan wrote in his LJ about it being like Max and Conan. But it wasn’t at the audience, to us they had sooooo much energy. But than after their first song they were like “Hey Adam, how do u like it here?” And “Adams like GrEAT!!” and it was just awkward and seemed forced. But besides that they literally did every song perfectly. I did wonder why they had so much lighting and effects and Anberlin and Format couldn’t even get a fuckin flashlight or a whistling moon rocket. Like Common ShArE ThE WeALtH!!. But every song was sooo good. Specially “#5 with a Bullet”, “Your so Last Summer” which they did sooo good. And the audience was into every word. “One Eighty by Summer”. They also played some new songs like “What it feels to be a ghost” and maybe two others.
They played for like an hr and 15 minutes until they said they were on their last song. Which wasssss Bri Serges favorite, “Cute without the E” which was awesome. Like I don’t have good words to describe it all but it was just awesome. And Bri better fuckin go to a concert one of these days. Ya HeARd?? Than they were like Thank You Tampa!! And they went off. But obviously they were gonna come back So they waited five minutes, came back and played, “This Photograph is Proof” and ended it with my fave “A Decade under the Influence” They totally fuckin were soooooo good. And im so happy I went. Robbie said there would be tons of 12 yr old girls there, which there was, but there was older people too!!! that’s right Robbie not jus heavy metal has older peoples there. I literally got knocked down by little girls jumpin over me. No guys, just little 10 year old girls holding each other hands. That’s like 500 pds of force when u add them all together. So I fell onto every person around me. Which im sorry but jeez lil girls r strong.
So I get back in my car and head off to go bak to U.S.F. I get in, say bye to Gena, and head off. So im on the highway and hit traffic. So this limo pulls up and I made a face at the people in it like “What the fuck are you playing???” And it was 50 cent, but I was deaf from my concert so I was hearing my radio and his mixed together. So he yells out “You like my fuckin music??” So I get like all this adrenaline. And I go “No I don’t fuckin like it!!” Like kidding. So the driver pulls away but we are still in traffic. So I eventualy pull up again and the guy and this hot blonde girl look out “And hes like Hey Fuck you, my music is the fuckin shit” And im jus yellin at him whatever comes to mind cuz im fuckin deaf and my ears are ringing. So im like “Fuck you…your not even famous and your not on your prom so fuck your limo” and we jus kept goin back and forth. Jus sayin whatever and finally the traffic broke and he was gone. I wanted to fight him, but we were in cars and on a highway and he was in a limo that could have had 5 300 pd bouncers in it for all I knew so I gave that idea up quick.
So next im sittin in my car and listenin to 97X the radio station that hosted the show. And this girl calls in and goes “OMgGGgGgg…taking back Sunday rocked!! Adam looked so hottttt. I threw my BRAAA on stage and he threw it back and signed it!!!! AhHHhHhhH” So the DJ goes “That’s awesme, how old are you?” And the girls like “TEN!!!” So the DJ goes, “O.K. that’s reason # 3462 why I never want to have a daughter” It was so fuckin funny. Cuz everyone said there would be so many lil girls there. Haaa…it was great.
Than im in Tampa and I had to piss. So im like shit where am I gonna go??? So I found this abandoned business road and im like O.K. Good right here! So I get out and start. And its taking a long time cuz I had to go bad!! So than I hear this drumming sound and im like OooOo ShiTTTT! And I see a car speeding towards me so im like “Commmmoonnn finniissshhhh!!” But it wouldn’t so I slowed it down and stopped it. And if you’re a guy you know that fuckin kills!! And I jump in my car and speed off and they pass me and its a car of Mexicans and im like oooookk that’s good. So I found a new abandoned spot and resume going and am jus about done when this black man walks out of the building so I finish and speed off. UgHhHhh. It was the longest attempt at the bathroom break EvEr. But well worth it.
AhHhhh…this is a long entry. Sorry for the length, but this makes it so I don’t need to tell the same story over and over 300 times. But ya the concert totally rocked tonight. And Wow im soooo happy iwent!! WOoOOooOO. Next concert is Robbie Dorman’s Cello concert!! WooOOOo I’m sure that’ll rock as well!! CeLLo Solo anyone???!??
