BMW is, and will remain, one of my very favorite shows, and my discovery of slash only exasperated my love for it. You captured the general feel of Cory/Shawn very well, and other than some typos, it made for a very smooth and enjoyable read. The pictures were a lot of fun too! If only you'd included one of the episode where they dressed up as women. Mmm, kink factor. ;)

they have this on DVD?!?! Totally want. Going to buy now! lol. this is the only show that I liked from start to finish. earlie years and on. Most shows it takes a seasion or two to get into it. Thats why i lovers this show!

Thanks, I'm glad you liked it. I actually only meant to preview it, not post it, but it's nice to know the only things I did wrong were a few spelling errors (I *think* I have them all fixed) :)

And as for the pics of boys-in-a-dress:

Cory as a girl, which is a little disturbing - He's saying "My hosiery is bunching!" in that awful old-lady accent.

Shawn and creepy jock-guy - this one is so slashy it's unnerving.

I really wanted to post these, but couldn't figure out how to fit them into the rest of the essay. Hysterical pics though :)

...and it wasn't until I was older that I noticed just how incredibly slashy it is. And the way the show, at some points, actually promoted the subtext of Cory and Shawn's relationship just made it that much better and more amusing. This is one of those pairings that has so much evidence it seems almost too easy.

Same here. Didn't really know what slash was until I was an adult, and when I revisted BMW with new eyes, saw this slash banquet full of Cory & Shawn (and later Eric & Jack). *bg* If only the internet was as full of BMW fanfiction. *sigh*

By the way, do you know which episode(s) the pictures of Cory and Shawn in drag are from? Perhaps I can catch the ep on either the Disney Channel's late night airings, or on ABC Family's 8-9 am airing? *crosses fingers* Thanks.

The drag ep is called "Chick Like Me", 4x15. Seasons 4 and 5 are the golden age of Cory/Shawn, it's crazy. If you really want the ep I can try to upload it for you some time this weekend (I only got it recently myself; torrents are God's gift to me).

You're quite welcome. Actually, I've read this manifesto two or three times now (since I first discovered this LJ community), it just took me forever to post a comment. ^^

In all honesty, I am completely surprised that there isn't more BMW slash fic, especially since TPTB made the subtext nearly text in the series. It's like what someone said about "Jurassic Park 3": "Saying you can't see the slash is like saying that you can't see the dinosaurs."

There are definitely a few fandoms that are proportionally much smaller than the amount of slash material they have in them - fandom is a funny thing some times ;-/

Don't worry about it; I'm up early for work and (Thank GOD) handed my last exam in yesterday, so I'm in a good mood *g* Just let me know if there's something funky with it, the file should be around 140MB, .avi and should play on WMM or whatever you use straight out of the box.

Sorry this reply is so late. First of all, thank you very much for putting that episode up for me. I appreciated it immensely. Unfortunately, I was not able to download the ep onto my PC or watch it online. The problem was on my end, since my dial-up modem is problematic-- it disconnects me a lot each time I try to do things online. :( When I tried to dl the ep, my modem kicked me off the 'net, causing the following error message to pop up everytime since then: "Only one connection to the server is supported, so if you are using a download manager that attempts to establish multiple connections, you will receive this error." Oh well, at least, we gave it a shot. Thanks, again. *g*
