A lovely, persuasive manifesto.

Thank-you - and I persuaded myself still more while I was writing it; the more I looked, the more I found!

This is something that has never occurred to me before despite my love of British History, my love of Branagh and the fact that the whole "Prince Hal" cycle of plays are my favourite of Shakespeare's whole admirable repertoire. I'm not big on RPS, but like the hypocrite I am I love it when it's historical (Henry II/Thomas Beckett OTP).

This is honestly the most fun I've had reading a manifesto in a while. :D :D :D Thank you for writing it and bringing this weird little pairing to my attention. ♥

I’m happy to know that the manifesto passed muster with someone who really knows their stuff! Oddly, I was having a conversation about historical RPS with my beta just the other day; we came to the conclusion that by the time the story has been through a few permutations it's no longer about the real people at all. That's my story, and I’m sticking to it, anyway...

And I’m with you on Henry II/Beckett; such a pity Shakespeare never had a go at that one, though Anouilh didn't do badly.

Thank-you, very much, for the comment!
