Wonderful essay - and thanks for the rec.

I might disagree that Nokoru is a flirt - it's really more of a natural charm, because flirt implies insincerity, and he's always genuinely caring of the ladies. I do believe that somewhere there is a list of the number of siblings he has - I seem to think there's seven or eight.

I do like the idea of his fairy godmother complex. There is definitely a disconnect between him and the rest of the world.

I'll definitely look for your TRC work, since I agree that would be great. Nokoru is an all-time favorite of mine.

I think "charismatic" is a better word for Nokoru, perhaps. I agree he isn't a flirt, either. There's really no sexuality in his friendliness towards the opposite sex.

I see what you mean about the word flirt- perhaps it wasn't the best choice of words; yet for me, flirt doesn't necessarily imply insincerity. And all I've been able to find is mention of two older brothers. It'd be cool if there were a list and I could find it. Thank you for your review. Oh, and I added a few recs.

I just wanted to say I really liked your manifesto. I've been a NokoruxSuoh fan for years but have never been able to so eloquently express their relationship as you have. I'm definitely adding this to my LJ memories

I'm not too big on the CGT world, but I adore Nokoru, and I really do think that he and Suoh make a wonderful pairing. As I haven't finished reading the series completely, I don't know anything of Nagisa, nor can I picture Suoh being close to someone without a lot of time to develop it.

As for the age difference between Suoh and Nagisa, it does seem strange until you look at some other CLAMP pairings (Subaru and Seishirou are nine years apart, even though they didn't meet again until Subaru was 16).

All in all, a wonderful manifesto on a coupling that's never really 'old'. CLAMP just keeps bringing 'em back. :)

^^; SeiSu is an OTP of mine, and I try to ignore the age thing with them. And yes, Suoh is not the type to fall head over heals immediately in love with anyone. Thank you for your review. ^_^

LOL SO TRUE! nokoru/suoh is my fav pairing. however Suoh is far to ignorant and serious to actually acknowledge he's gay. *sigh*... and when they appeared in X I was really disappointed because they were far too old -_- (in my case)
