Fringe - The Bullet That Saved the World

Pre-storm Fringe catch-up today...

[Fringe 5x04]

OH MY FUCKING GOD THEY KILLED THEIR DAUGHTER /end tumblr-esque capslock explosion (more found at tumblr shortly if the power's still on)

I...I...

I knew something major happened, figured someone died, thought maybe Walter. Then saw generic Etta graphic on deviantart group and thought maybe it was her. But, c'mon, their daughter was already kidnapped, they were reunited in the future, they wouldn't kill her off so quickly. And then there was so much of a Broyles focus in this ep, and he was being quite awesome and heroic, so I thought well, as The Dove, he would be sacrificed to save them. But then I remembered Georgina Haig was only signed on for like, five, eps. And then I watched her interactions with her family much more closely. There was too much promise of the future there, and the mother-daughter scene with the bullet was just too wonderful. (I kinda wanted her to tell Etta the story of the bullet, and then kinda was glad she didn't: "Yeah, your grandfather shot me through the head because I was giving off enough Cortexi-energy to destroy two universes. I was actually dead for a few minutes. Oh, and I was pregnant with you all the while. May be why you're so special." Bit awkward that.) Anyway, I love watching Anna Torv emote. She's just so very perfect.

So, obviously I am still crying here. Peter just hysterical, Olivia pulling back, completely overcome while gripping that bullet, Walter knowing EXACTLY how they both feel... ;_;

I KNOW that all of this will be erased - that's obviously what the whole 'restore' thing means - but jesus christ THEY KILLED THEIR BABY GIRL. Olivia already felt so terrible the first time she lost her child, god, feeling it was her fault - further crying here - and now...now...

Well, I'm outta words. But man, this is a great season. Just gonna try not to cry as I read recaps and responses (an uphill battle, surely).

wwwhhhhhyyyyyy, fringe, television, olivia dunham rocks my socks off
