HIMYM 7x10 "Tick, Tick, Tick"
God damn it. Todd from Community jinxed it, didn't he?! He and his stupid nachos ;) I know they're doing this to drag it out longer, but it still had me chanting "no, no, no" at the screen. Kevin's answer was good, that's true, but everyone saw Barney's looks this episode, right? Those were looks of love, and he was speaking from his heart. He gets this soft expression on his face and his voice changes and it just melts your heart. They love each other, all right, but he seemed to be being awfully careful, afraid to scare her off (changing his answer quickly when he thought she didn't want him). Oh, and that montage as Nora's father spoke ;_; Even had their first laser tag date!
I'm guessing that per Victoria's original urging that something had to be done about the whole situation between Robin, Ted and Barney, and Ted finding a forlorn Barney tidying up (and breaking my heart), the best man will set about trying to fix things. He has to become the best man somehow, right? (Yeah, he'd be it regardless, but still.) Like how Barney got Lily to come back to Marshall, Robin's roomie has to help get these two kids together or I will be livid ;) (Really, though, I will be sooooo disappointed otherwise.)
Heartbroken!Barney - "Benefits" Barney - is adorable, though; NPH plays it so well.
That singer on the boat was pretty funny, reminded me of the guy they'd get to sing about sex scandals on the daily show. Plus, I just love jokey songs (I am a Weird Al and Jonathon Coulton fan).
The reveal at the end of the concert story, with the security cam, was really funny too. The sandwich stories usually have great visual gags, and I especially loved Marshall taking Ted's hand as they walked out in search of nachos =D
Ah, it'll turn out okay in the end. (If not, anger and fanfic awaits!)
