Politics!

My Behavioral Statistics prof is really cool: she discusses South Park episodes with us and politics, then gets down to work (levity's nice when you've got a 15 minute step 2 to work out in ANOVA - ugh.  Not impossible, just kinda debilitating when you're tired.)  She's as excited as I am about the fact that Barack Obama (!) is coming to my school, WCU, this Wednesday to speak live with Chris Matthews (huh) on the first stop of the Irish shoutbox's Hardball college tour.  Tickets are only for students and staff and though I'm technically a Hilary supporter, I'm not missing this (Chelsea stopped by yesterday, but I had a class and couldn't hear much anyway; had it been her mom, I'd of been there for sure).  Prof said it best, this man could be our next president; in the room with the next president, asking questions, that's awesome. :D  A good deal of students probably will be late to class Monday as we line up for tickets (getting there early for sure; not another repeat of the Colbert Report coming to Philadelphia thing, I'll be outside the ticket booth before noon when they're giving 'em out).  My UArts brother is the real Obama fan, but the candidates come to Philly all the time, I know, though I don't think he's been to a rally yet.

Going to get Taiko Drum Master after all; too much discord between the Wii group and that of the Xbox (more like the Xbox dude is a colossal dick, and I've been advised to just not go there).  I'll live, just with a little less fake plastic drumming in my future. :(  Plastic tapping is still fun and you can put cute little outfits on your drum; the artwork is so adorable, too, it makes your teeth ache.  Still a rhythm game, and it's on my fav platform, that's cool.  ::making a concerted effort not to sulk::

games, politics
