At long last...
Okay, I have been writing this for a while because I was offline for a while after getting back from the party in Batavia, so I had saved all this.
After many many hours on a bus, Dustin and I arrived in batavia. Called Urky. Found out that Krys was at the wrong place to pick us up, but then her and Christine showed up a few minutes after I got off the phone with him, so it was all good.
As soon as we got there, Urky and DS were working on something, so I wanted to get my hugs. I was so happy to be there and off the bus that I barely noticed the pain I was in from being on the bus for all that time.
Over the course of the next six days, I learned a lot about these people that I have been talking to for all this time. These are my impressions of everyone that was there that I can remember having an impression of...
Krystal-I love her to death. She is one of the greatest people I have ever had the fortune to have in my life. I adore her, she is awesome. She gave me some incredibly wonderful advice, and I learned so much from her. I was having issues with my path, and she helped me with them. She is a fantastic sister and I miss her so much!..'tiny grain of sand...'
Urkan-He is loud, and obnoxious, and so much fun to be around. I loved talking to him about the reenactment stuff and history. He really is a bright guy, and a great big brother. Thanks for getting in my face when I was having trouble, bro. I needed it and i love you for it.
Ele- Oh my..I cannot say enough about what a big help she was to me, I learned so much from her and she even helped me out with a little surprise i have planned for next year's gathering. Ele is so sweet and so funny. She hugged me at the campfire and told me she was so glad I was able to make it. I love you too, sis.
DS- One of the sweetest men I have ever met. He would not let me forget that I was supposed to be taking care of myself even though I was on vacation. I knew he was a caring person, but I got to see how much when I was trying to come to terms with bullshit I was going through, and he wouldn't stop pushing me about it. Many thanks hon.
Souly-My soon to be sis in law. I love you, girl. I cannot wait until next year and maybe we will actually be able to sit down and talk! The look on her face when she saw the wedding dress(I am so sorry I will not be able to be there)...I almost cried because of the happiness I saw radiating from her.
Satan- Okay I am going to totally ruin Satan's rep here. He may act like an ass, and he may act like a pig, but he is one of the sweetest guys in the world. I have never had so much fun tickling someone in my life(except of course, the squashing part, but hey, these things happen.) He slept in a tent with me and Dustin and Tiffie one night, and he was a perfect gentleman(which I cannot say for someone else). He was great fun to be around, and it would not have been the same if he had not been there. I mean, who else would I have sat next to at the fire under the sleeping bag? It would not have been the same. Besides, I had fun counting the grey/white hairs in his goatee and on his head(Platinum blond, yeah right, Satan)
Tiffie- my wifey! I love her. She is a riot to be around, and even though we ended up travelling together again on the way home because of a minor difficulty, I am really glad that the panic attack happened, hon. I was grateful for that extra time we got to spend hanging out, even if we did sleep for part of the trip, but hey, I got to sleep next to my Tiffie one last time, so it was good.
Steve- Another rep ruining coming up here. Steve is awesome! He is an ass, yes, but OH MY GOD! He is awesome to hang with. He is just as funny and obnoxious and outrageous in person, but he is also a warm and caring guy(sorry, Steve, I had to say it). Steve, you better be at the next party, man. If not I will come get you and toss you in the back of my truck and drag your butt there.
Shane-Little brother, you are shorter than I thought you were. I always imagined you much taller. :P Seriously, I hope you know how awesome your lady is, and that you appreciate her. I know she adores you, and you two deserve happiness.
Christine- Such a sweetheart. (Sorry about the coffee, dear, lol) And thanks for being there for me when I needed that favor from ya. You are awesome and I can't wait to see you again!
Wyse-My, my, my...what to say about Wyse...the Krys and Urky Experience would not have been as much fun as it was if it were not for the frivolity and laughter Wyse brought to the mix.
Puck- the schoolgirl outfit...omg...the look on his face when Urky lifted the skirt...hilarious. Plus, he is now officially my Advil/Tums connection. Thanks sweetie, you saved me from much pain and discomfort.
Together they are my favorite Canadian comedy duo!
Grimmy- *hugs* I hated to see you go, hon. I didn't get as much a chance to talk to him as I would have liked, but hopefully we will cross paths again soon.
Yoro- Always smiling, friendly, and absolutely adorable! I didn't get to know her much before the party, but I so wanted to hide her in my suitcase and bring her home with me...:P
Penty- as soon as we met, the first thing he was concerned with was how I was feeling and how things were going for me. It is funny, and watching him run around with the video camera was great (as well as being completely expected).Oh and the turtle...Krys and Urky have a turtle sandbox for Emania in the backyard, and Penty fell over it, stepping on it and denting the plastic shell in. His response..."Thanks for having me, and I'm sorry I fucked up your turtle." I don't think I have EVER laughed so hard in my life.
Gwenee- Gwenee is exactly the same as she is online. She is funny and sweet. I almost broke her sunglasses, which I felt horrible about(she was napping in the tent, and I didn't see them laying there when I went in the tent to grab something.) But hey, she forgave me and let me smack her ass, which was great(I love gwenee's ass). I expected her to look a little different, maybe blond or something, but she is definitely as cute as she is sweet.
Witchy- Another one I didn't know horribly well before I went, but I am SO glad I got a chance to talk to her and get to know her and her other half. She is caring and smart, and gives some of the best hugs in the world.
