Happy Mother's Day

An entry very worthy of its name.

So parents have been staying in Johor for a while now. Funny how i don't quite recall how we spent the past few Mothers' and Fathers' Day, i think all i did was probably just sending my regards over phone calls.

Last sunday, i decided to surprise my mum by visiting them in Johor unexpectedly.

I remember the way she calls out to me when they met me at the malaysian checkpoint, in the car with the window wind down.

We spent a really nice afternoon together, Dad surprised mum by buying you zha gui for her while we were preparing dinner - this is the most romantic thing my dad did, and as a matter of fact ' because today is mothers' day'.

Towards the end of the day, before we left their house, Dad used his mobile phone to record the korean drama on TV, so he don't have to go through the hassle of looking for the show online.

Finally, at the checkpoint, mum walked me to the immigration centre. On the way there, she told me how happy she was to see me and that she misses me very much.  That touched me greatly not because of the sentiments in the content alone, but also how honest can a mother be to her daughter? There was no ego, no pretence, just so much love. And she mentioned how much she wish for us to travel more as a family - this, i will make it happen.
