Why I love Love Is All Around? (oh, no! not again!)
IT'S MY ULTIMATE FAVORITE SONG!!! For me, it's the greatest love song ever! Nothing will replace it in my heart. I can listen to it 24/7 and not get sick of it at all. I've got practically every version of this song in my hard drive, from The Troggs to karaoke version.
I love everything about it - the tune, the beat, the lyrics, the plucking of the acoustic guitar (*sigh* if only I could play the guitar), and I think there are violins(?) in the background, too.
Listen carefully to the short instrumental (10 secs) between the first chorus and second stanza. I simply love that part (I have it as my ringtone!). Then listen carefully again right after the second chorus until the end. That beautiful 10-second tune is repeated over and over again (with slight alterations) until the song fades.
Now try humming it along with stanza 1 and 2. It blends in perfectly well! I actually think it's there (very subtle in the background) all throughout the song (I think it's a round song). Then it just surfaces during the best moment of the song.
Believe me, I've heard this song too many times that's why I've memorized the details. I can dictate to you the lyrics even without listening to it, especially the coda (beginning from "ooh~ it's written in the wi~nd...oh~ everywhere I go...yeah! hmm~ yeah...").
And WTH, the voice! I've never heard such a strong, sensational, and heartfelt voice. Marti Pellow really does wonders in their music always. And he can sing it soooo effortlessly with an elated smile on his face (try watching some of their live performances on youtube).
