I'll be the first to admit it: I'm a Joomla guy. I like my CMSes defined, ordered, and...well, CMSes to begin with. That's why I'm always astonished that people want to twist Wordpress beyond the scope of what it was designed for. Don't get me wrong, WP is a great blogging tool. But that's all it is. It was never meant to be the core of a ad-hoc content management system, yet time and time again people have twisted the hell out of it until it is one.
So here I am, with the
Claude & Monet website and I'm trying to twist it further, to look like something other than just slapped up on the screen. I'd like to create something much more akin to, say,
Atomic Laundromat, but the truth is that I'm not a WP guy. Ask me to do this in Joomla or one of its derivatives (Gantry, Morph, Zoo), and I probably could. But WP is too fractured, too...I dunno, odd? for my tastes.
Any suggestions out there?
