It's a warm, sunny day, and the sleeves of Jack's shirt are rolled up, his jacket draped over the empty chair. He appears to be reading something on his shiny new iPad, but really ( Read more... )

*Oh he's been spotted , the Doctor coughs into his hand, abit awkwardly*

Captain Jack Harkness, We've met.

*how could Jack forget? The Doctor's the one who wasn't there when everything went to shit for him*

Sorry about the new face. Still getting used to it myself.

*Gives him a second once over, this time with a different ~perspective* Doctor?

*Chuckles and shakes his head* You just keep getting younger, Doc. Next time around, I'll be changing your diapers.

*He's not mad? well that's a good start*

I'd never regenerate into a body that young. Think of how inconvenient it would be!

*laughs and sits down across from him*

*Pulls a face, thinking of it* Very inconvenient. Even I won't hit on a baby.

*Grins at Eleven as he sits down, still taking in the new new new Doctor-y-ness* So how did this new face come about? The last time I saw the old one, you were playing matchmaker. Thank you for that, by the way. *Raises his glass in a mock toast* Allonso was ... exactly what I needed just then. But I expect you knew that. *Takes a drink of his water and continues wryly* You always do.

oh then....? I was saying goodbye actually. ...Christmas went a bit wrong. for me. I was regenerating.

*he makes a face before looking round for the waitress and raising his hand* A limonata, please? Thanks.

Helluva goodbye, Doc. But you always did like to make a big production of things. *Leans back in his chair as the Doctor orders* Still, this is an interesting new look you have this time around. Not that I'm complaining. Like I said, the bowtie and the tweed is working for you. Still, *his smile turns nostalgic* part of me still misses the ears and the leather.

*The waitress returns with the Doctor's drink and Jack turns his full watt smile her. She might've spontaneously combusted on the spot Or just runs away in giggles Tough work, being caught in a Jack smile that was meant for the Doctor.*

It was a good jacket wasn't it? *smiles back*

*smile turns to a look of pleasure when the waitress returns with him drink* Excellent! I have had one of these in...well... *starts counting on his fingers then watches the woman scurry off*

Well there goes another one. You do have a way with people.

It was a fantastic jacket.

*Jack turns the grin back on the Doctor, completely unrepentant* Maybe I just wanted her to leave so I'd have you all to myself again.

*Really touched the the Doctor missed him, but plays it off jokingly* Keep talking like that and I'll get a big ego.

Are you traveling solo these days?

No actually. I've got two companions with me, a married couple.

A married couple? That's different. And where are they now? Sneaking kisses over a plate of Weiner Snitzle somewhere?

*chuckles* Could be. If they've finished in the bedroom.

How've you been?

*Bursts out laughing, surpised to hear the Doctor speak so casually about Jack's favorite pasttime* Good for them! About time the TARDIS saw some action.

*Waves the Doctor's question off, perhaps I bit too casually* Oh, you know me. Making new friends and avoiding responsibility. Considering a return to the conman business.
