Twilight Movie

So I definitely went to go see this in theaters with, unfortunately, a bunch of my Twilight-tard friends the very day it came out. We were lucky because 1) One of said friends works at the theater, so we the five of us were able to get tickets to go see it for only a dollar, and 2) Since we're seniors, we all get out of school super-early, so there was barely anyone in the theater when we went. (Which, despite the fact  it was only four or so when we went, was still surprising to me.)

I had to scheme in order to go though, since I was supposed to be grounded (for the most retarded reason ever, too). I had to tell my dad to pick me up right after school and then bring me back around four or so, so that my friends could pick me up. That way I'd be on my dad's time, which meant I wasn't grounded and I could do whatever the hell I wanted to. Which is how it SHOULD be, seeing as how I'm almost eighteen now and grounding me at this age for something as petty as taking my playstation over my dad's house without permission is completely ridiculous.

ANYWAY, it was me, Kelsey, Layla, Sashia, and Sarah. We hung out for a while at my house before we met up with Layla and Sashia over at the movie theater. Kelsey schemed me into buying her a large popcorn. Really, the girl finished it before the previews even ended! I'm way too nice for my own good.

The movie itself was a disappointment if you ask me. My friends were orgasmic, of course, and barely noticed anything wrong with it due to their squealing over Edward and how amazing it was to see Twilight acted out on screen, but there were a lot of things that irked me about the movie. For one, it didn't follow the book very well. Even though I've only read the first book (and four years ago, at that), I knew that they had skimped out on some things.

And did anyone notice all the random bloopers in this movie? Like when Bella and Edward are sitting under a tree in the rain, and Edward is completely SOAKED,... and then the next scene, the both of them are dry as the desert and Edward's hair is completely "perfect" again. I say perfect in quotations because I thought his hairstyle needed a serious consultation. They need to hire a new stylist. That hairdo was ridiculous.

But I have to say this: ALICE. WAS. HOT.
Holy shit, Batman! Whoever they casted for Alice (Ashley Greene, I think) was downright drop-dead gorgeous. The hair was perfect. Her acting could use a little work, but have you seen the first Harry Potter movies? Yeah their acting sucked too. The baseball game scene... The way she threw her leg up like that.... it was probably edited but man, that was amazing. Good job, directors. Alice outshined Bella.

Also the whole love thing between Bella and Edward* went way too fast for me. One second they're tentative friends and the next they're proclaiming their undying love for one another. Seriously, what the fuck happened to slow progression? They could have extended it a little bit. Directors, try harder please.

Also, Bella and Edward's acting could use quite a bit of work. Bella did a fairly good job with what she had, I believe, but Edward could use a bit of help. His acting was pretty wooden if you ask me.

Overall, though, I thought it was a good movie. The scene where Bella's mother said, "You fell down two flights of stairs and out a window!" had me in tears. My friends got mad at me for laughing so hard. And that boot.... LOL dude. ELL. OH. ELL.

Gotta get to school now, see ya'll later.

EDIT: Holy shit, it's been like five days since I got on and I just realized I typo'd Bella and Edward as Bella and Alice. Rofl, them femslash fics be gettin' t' me sometimes.
