One-day-books

Getting through an entire book in one day gives me an unequaled sense of accomplishment that is usually only surpassed by accomplishing something unpleasant and difficult like a paper or something very physically laborious, which I'd rather not do. Which is not say that finally finishing a very long book (think War and Peace) is not gratifying, but getting through an entire book in one day still feels pretty good. Plus, its good for when you just finished one of those very long books.

So here are some of my favorite one-day-books:
Shop Girl by Steve Martin
A Man Without a Country by Kurt Vonnegut
God Bless You, Dr. Kevorkian by Kurt Vonnegut
a multitude of zines, which I'll probably talk a lot more about in the future

Here are some that I am planning to get to:
The Communist Manifesto by Marx and Engels (I'm kind of ashamed that I haven't read this yet)
Why Vietnam Still Matters by Jan Scruggs
The Last Energy War by Harvey Wasserman
Paul Wellstone by Bill Lofy
The Future of American Progressivism by Roberto M. Unger
