You begin to seek out hunger in a way that isn't even about food, about calories or weight or your feelings about the feel of your body. Just hunger, the point where it is a physical thing, pain in your belly, an aching demand. When you were a real person this was a bad thing, annoying, distracting you from the things you actually had in your life to do.
