tunes

I finally got a new mp3 player a month ago (and I'm past the return date so... it's now mine :]) which has a larger capacity. I've been using it a lot lately and I realize that... I don't know my own music collection very well!
Back in the day, when I had less songs (on my mp3 player) I would be able to tell what song and artist it was from the first few notes. Now I have trouble identifying most songs. I guess it's because I'm to lazy to dl individual songs so I just end up getting the whole album or even the whole discography of the artists I like. And I'm too lazy to pick out the songs that I like and delete the rest. So now I just have some random songs that I have never heard before floating around in my zune.
Sometimes I would go, "What is this? This is really nice! I have good taste..." :D

On to other stuff...

I haven't really had time to follow a lot of the new groups, but I must say that overall, the music is... bad. Has the bar really gone that low?
It's a creative mess. Nothing new has been brought to the table for quite a while. -____-

Which brings me to the point: Why is the love and appreciation of music not very evident in most kpop idols today?
I think many (companies) are worrying too much about the overall package & presentation and forgetting about the fact that these people are supposed to be SINGERS. They should sing songs that actually showcase their abilities. (Or at least choose a title track that manages to do so).
I'm just tired of facepalming while listening to a lot of these songs. Some of the lyrics... seriously? It's amusing at times but unnecessary.
Well, I'm done with the negativity for now.
That's why I'm sort of leaning more towards Japanese music these days.
I MISS HIGH STANDARDS!! Need more legit awesome songs.

music, whatnot
