So my throat is really aching right now. It kinda feels like it's a bit swollen too, but I'm not really sure. And the reason I'm posting this is, it's hurting only on the left side and I haven't been sick since a couple weeks ago, so I have no idea what it could be, and I want to ask you guys.
So: Has anyone here ever had their throat hurt only on one side, really bad, especially when they swallowed? And has it happened when you WEREN'T sick otherwise? Because if I had a cold or the flu it would make sense, but to be honest I'm getting kinda scared now because I can't think of what this could be other than very bad things. Well, I have a few ideas that are not cancer, but my mind keeps jumping to that one, argh. So if anyone here has an explanation as to what it might be, that would help a lot. I am still smoking pretty much daily, but since it's only one side of my throat that wouldn't explain it. I'm thinking lymph node action, which is why I'm so scared :/ Swollen, painful lymph nodes are never good. Then again, it's only the one side, and wouldn't it be both nodes? Argh, I don't know.
HELP!!!
(Edit: I do have this really bad cavity on the left side, but I'm quite sure that couldn't be related, it doesn't make any sense to me. But if someone thinks otherwise, let me know...)
(Edit 2: I don't have health insurance, either, or I would just go to the doctor with this one...)
