(no subject)
I have a nagging urge to update, and yet fuck all to say.
Life is currently boring me. It needs a little spice. I was hoping I'd win on the 649 tonight, because really, does it get any spicier? But alas, I'm one of the many millions of losers. Emoemoemo, and the like.
On the plus side, Lise has shown me the light and introduced me to Neil Gaiman. My god, that man is fantastic. I'm slowly working my way through his novels... I started with American Gods, which was fantastic, and I'm now about halfway through both Neverwhere and Anansi Boys (there's a story behind why I'm reading two books at once, but I won't go into it). But yes, do yourself a favour and pick up American Gods, or Neverwhere, you're sure to love them. Anansi Boys is a pseudo-spinoff of American Gods, which is the only reason I wouldn't recommend that as a starter. I've yet to read the Sandman graphic novels - which people have been raving to me about for years - but I'm planning to get to them as soon as I finish what I've got.
Family vacation starts Monday (thanks to work making me work through then) and I'm looking forward to it, I think. I'm looking forward to staying at a hotel, and swimming in the hotel pool, and exploring a place I've never had much of a chance to explore. I'm a little more iffy on being stuck with my parents and sister for four days straight - that could get messy. Fortunately, the day after we get back I leave for the Simon Fraser University campus for four days for Anime Evolution, so I'll get my space (from my family, at least) then.
But yeah, A.D.D. kicking in now, so I think I'll wander off and play WoW or something. TTFN, peeps.
