It's been some time since I last wrote in my journal, hasn't it? I found it propping up one of the legs of the kitchen table not too long ago. Of course, Ted had absolutely no idea how it got there. I guess it doesn't matter much because my life these last few months could be summed up to playing Mum to Nymphadora and Ted and talking to Angie, Edgar's very lovely and very pregnant wife, on the fella talle t e l e p h o n e. We must have talked about Bagpuss for over an hour this afternoon. I think it's a cute Muggle programme, and Dorrie certainly does enjoy it. Some of it's a bit odd. The little girl in it named Emily brings Bagpuss the toy tabby cat, Professor Yaffles the wooden woodpecker and the lost toys to life with some silly poem incantation. (I forget how it went, and I'd rather not ring Angie over something so silly...) It's just really interesting how Muggles portray magic, though.
Oh! There's some good news from the Tonks household! Ted has been teaching some people how to drive after work since the Apparition ban has gone into effect. He came home today saying that Ice Box gave him quite a pretty penny to teach him to drive some car he bought- hold on a minute. Ted came in the kitchen to ask me something and read that part over my shoulder and would like me to write that it's not just some car, but a MGB something another. I don't particularly care what the man's driving, but the extra money coming in is absolutely wonderful. We are so close to having enough money saved up for a down payment on a flat. Ted's eagerness to move has soared since the Apparition ban, and I can't help but feel a little glad that some good has come of it.
Also! Nymphadora's FIRST tooth is coming in! And she can roll over on her belly and hold herself up all on her own and she's going to start CRAWLING soon according to her paediatrician! And best of all, she smiles and laughs at me more than Ted! I am VICTORIOUS!! All right! All right! Enough gushing... BUT SHE'S SO ADORABLE!!
