I'm tires today. I enjoy talking to Portuguese speaking people (meaning, Portuguese and Brazilians and all the others). They've been really friendly with me lately
Saudade became like my favorite word of the Portuguese language since I got into Hetalia, no lie. And that's saying something, because I've always loved Portuguese (my father is a Portuguese teacher, so I guess that's why I have so much respect for it). It IS a beautiful word, because you don't know what it means until you've felt it.
And, well... it's just so PORTUGUESE it hurts. Maybe I'm just being Brazilian here, but they're rather melancholic and pessimistic, and like to think of the good old days and the great things that happened. *dodges tomatoes* So "saudade" is a common thing to feel, I think. (And it's amazing how Brazil thinks he's so different from Porty-Port but this kind of melancholy is so easy for him to understand. There's a reason that word is in so many of our songs!)
The contrast between the Iberia siblings is fascinating, I agree! I love to see them together even if I prefer it less incestuous lol. I like your thoughts on them, they're so interesting. Also, that picture is beautiful, I love the expressions ;-; AND male!Port's earring, I'm adding that to my headcanon as I type this |D
Yay~ I'm glad you like it! I'm not sure why I added the earring (um..cuz the girl had the weird thing dangling there which I assume it's an earring, so I wanted something to balance out on the other side??)
That word really help me shaped my headcanon. I'm loving Portugal more and more XD
(and I'm starting to want to learn both Portuguese and Spanish now...may be I should...)
