Galileo Chini
I went to the Modern art Museum yesterday by myself to see this artist, Galileo Chini.
I saw one ofhis paintings while I was in Florence, and really liked it.
The exhibition of his work just went up
over the last week so I was really lucky to get to see it before I go.
Unfortunately I was not able to find a good picture of his figure work.
The things that I like most
are his paintings that remind me a bit of Klimt's work.
They were massive about 4 or 5 yards in height
and about 2 yards wide.
Very big, but also really neat.
Anyways...I can't seem to even find a good book with his work in it.
Which is disappointing.
Oh well.
Only 2 more days until my flight home and I am getting rather nervous.
But I guess that is to beexpected,
since I don't particulrly enjoy flying,
and this will be the longest flight I will have taken in a few years.
(The trip from europe to US is longer than the trip from US to Europe.)
